Dr. Barker earned her bachelor’s degree in Biology from West Virginia State University, where she balanced her academic studies with competing as a collegiate volleyball athlete. She went on to earn her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Kent State College of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Barker completed her residency training at Corewell Health, where she served as Chief Resident of the Podiatric Medicine and Surgery/Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle program. During her residency, she received extensive training in foot and ankle surgery, diabetic foot care, and wound care management.
