Catherine Abounader serves as a Nurse Practitioner for the Internal Medicine & Primary Care offices in Ft. Myers, and Estero, FL under the supervision of Dr. Jerilee Lomas. Catherine completed her undergraduate nursing education at State University of New York and a Bachelor of Arts from New York University. She worked as a nurse in critical care, nursing informatics, and nursing leadership in Lee and Charlotte county hospitals over the last decade, before returning to school to complete a Master of Science in Nursing, as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Simmons University in Boston. Catherine is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurse Credentialing Center. She has extensive experience in geriatric care, working as a NICHE program coordinator, as well as Orthopedics, developing and implementing comprehensive total joint replacement and fracture care programs. Her practice focuses on providing a comprehensive, collaborative experience for patients and families, as they seek to improve their health and well-being through primary care. By incorporating evidence-based practice guidelines and empathetic, open communication, Catherine strives to help each individual patient meet their health and wellness goals. Catherine is currently accepting New Patients in our Fort Myers, and Estero, FL internal medicine locations.
