Catherine Abounader serves as a Family Nurse Practitioner for the Internal Medicine offices in Ft. Myers and Lehigh Acres, FL under the supervision of Dr. Jerilee Lomas. Catherine completed her undergraduate nursing education at State University of New York and a Bachelor of Arts from New York University. She worked as a nurse in critical care, nursing informatics, and nursing leadership in Lee and Charlotte county hospitals over the last decade, before returning to school to complete a Master of Science in Nursing, as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Simmons University in Boston. Catherine is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurse Credentialing Center. She has extensive experience in geriatric care, working as a NICHE program coordinator, as well as Orthopedics, developing and implementing comprehensive total joint replacement and fracture care programs. Her practice focuses on providing a comprehensive, collaborative experience for patients and families, as they seek to improve their health and well-being through primary care. By incorporating evidence-based practice guidelines and empathetic, open communication, Catherine strives to help each individual patient meet their health and wellness goals.
